Pumps adapted to the energy industry

Most of the models we manufacture and design are perfectly adapted to the energy industry.

From our reciprocating rotary piston pumps (TRIEF family) used in pre-heating applications for hydraulic oils in motors used in electricity generation or feeding boilers, through to our vane pumps (BAL family) used for pumping electrical transformers.

M2 megawatt 12 and 16 cylinder V gas engine (E-Series)

R&D project consisting of designing and manufacturing a hydraulic gear pump to supply oil in a 2 megawatt high-efficiency low-emissions gas engine designed for both the generation of primary energy and the application of cogeneration. After several months of designing it (in collaboration with the customer), the prototype passes Siemens Energy’s demanding tests and its manufacturing begins.

Our GPV12 (12 cylinders) and GPV16 (16 cylinders) models of the new GPV family are born – our first gear pump models,

3” helical gear pump spinning at 1000 rpm at 6 bar of pressure. It is equipped with a safety valve and made from nodular cast iron.

Dielectric oil

Electrical transformers

Customers: CONFIDENCIAL

A project consisting of designing and supplying the pumping system to supply the dielectric oil to cool electrical transformers (a key piece in the electricity supply chain).

The maintenance of the lubrication system is done online. It is a system that, using a pump, takes the oils to filters and/or mechanical particle separators, leaving the lubricant as good as new and fully functional.

The great advantage of this technology is it guarantees that the service of the transformers won’t stop. The oils used are mineral-based and highly resistant to oxidation. 

For this type of project BAL 2R series 400 vane pumps with self-adjusting vanes were chosen.

1 ½” pumps for a flow rate of 10,000 l/h at 2 bar of pressure and actioned at 640 rpm. They are equipped with a built-in safety valve and are made from cast iron.
